I've been struggling with one of the PRs in Waku for a few days now. It's due to a behavior in Vite that seems weird to me. It may sound unexpected, but I don't often read the source code of complicated systems. In fact, I don't even read React's source code when developing a React library. I'm not concerned with how it's implemented. What matters to me is the API surface and the mental model behind it. Therefore, I generally avoid reading React's source code, only looking into it to gain a better understanding of the API. Similarly, I wanted to avoid getting into Vite's internals, but this time, I think I need to read some of Vite's source code. Fortunately, this will likely provide me some insights into its architecture.

JavaScript tip of the day, an example of looping until the end and getting the second-to-last result:

for (let xx = x; xx; x = xx, xx = getUntracked(xx));
